  • Returns & Exchanges
      1. Requirements:

      Please take into consideration that we accept qualifying returns but not exchanges. Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.

      1) An item is eligible for cancellation if:
      -you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status (if your order is under “Queued for Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) or
      -the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay; or
      -the ordered item is out of stock.

      2) We accept return(s) if:
      -you are returning due to change of mind(on size, color, etc.)
      -you receive a product different from your order; or
      -you receive a defective product.

      **Return Instructions
      (1) Post a return request on our Return forum within 7 days of receipt. You are required to attach photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, order number, and reason for return.
      (2) A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email
      (3) Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Please make sure to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID.

      *Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.

      *Please note that EVEN defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent unworn and in the original packaging.

      *Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return package.

      *Return shipping fees for faulty/wrong orders will be paid for or reimbursed. If the Cash-On-Delivery option is not available for your EMS shipment,
      scan the return receipt and either mail it with the item to return or post an image of it on the forum. The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.

      3) We do not accept return(s) if:
      -you are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
      -the products are damaged due to customer mishandling

      The following items are not considered defective:

제주도에서 한복 디자이너 김영진의 패션쇼가 열렸다. 고혹적인 색감이 어우러진 찰나의 순간.

지난해 11월 말, 겨울의 문턱에 들어설 무렵 제주도를 찾았다.

디자이너 김영진이 오랜만에 한복을 무대에 올린다는 소식을 듣고서다. 제주에서 한복 쇼가 열린다는 이야기를 들으니 제주만의 가치와 아름다움을 담아내는데 김영진의 한복만큼 잘 어우러지는 게 또 있을까 싶은 생각이 든다. 제주도는 한국의 아름다운 자연의 모습을 그대로 담고 있는 곳이라는 점에서 한국적인 미를 보여주기에 좋고, 그녀의 세컨드 브랜드 차이킴이 지닌 ‘유랑’이라는 아이덴티티와도 더할 나위 없이 잘 어울리기 때문이다.

김영진은 제주에서 기획된 박람회 ‘친환경향장산업대전’에 맞춰 이번 쇼를 기획했다. 제주에서 나는 녹차, 동백, 화산송이 등 귀한 소재는 화장품의 원료로 쓰이는데, 이런 제주의 가능성을 국내외로 널리 알리기 위해 3년 전부터 기획한 박람회다. 김영진은 국내외 바이어와 수많은 관계자가 함께한 자리에서 ‘한복’을 주제로 또 다른 한국의 미를 전하는 역할을 맡았다.

“올해로 세 번째 참여했어요. 1, 2회 때는 소박하게 그 의미를 나눴다면, 이번에는 그간의 활약을 기반으로 나름의 결실을 보여주고 싶어서 더 신경 썼죠.”
본격적으로 쇼가 시작되자 청초한 억새와 앙상하게 마른 나뭇가지로 제주의 늦가을과 겨울을 표현한 무대 사이로 한복을 곱게 차려입은 모델이 하나둘씩 등장했다. 이번에 무대에서 선보인 한복은 김영진이 전개하는 두 가지라인인 차이 김영진과 차이킴이다. 깊은 색감과 잘 어우러지는 벨벳, 시어링 등의 소재는 겨울의 멋을 가득 뿜어냈다. 치마 아래로 레이스를 덧대거나 애니멀 프린트를 매치했고, 블랙 컬러 위에 플라워 프린트를 더하는 등 강렬한 이미지는 좌중을 압도했다. 게다가 니트 치마나 와이드 팬츠에 한복 피스를 레이어링하고 와이드 해트를 더한 스타일링은 특별한 볼거리였다.

이런 한국적 아방가르드를 연출하는 데에는 김영진과 오래도록 호흡을 맞춰온 스타일리스트 서영희의 역할이 컸다. 이번 김영진의 제주 쇼는 스타일리스트 서영희는 물론 제주도에 자리잡은 헤어 아티스트 김정한 등 최고의 스태프가 의기투합해 더욱 의미가 깊다. 또 김영진이 가는 곳이라면 어디든 함께하는 그녀의 지인들도 참석해 자리를 빛내줬다. 영화감독 홍지영, 인테리어 스타일리스트 신경옥 등이 포함된 일명 ‘칠공주’ 부대다. 그들은 평소 비슷한취향을 나누고 한복을 즐겨 입는 등 단합된 모습을 보여줬다.

김영진은 다른 곳이 아닌 제주이기에 더욱 벅차다고 말했다. “한복 쇼를 꼭 서울에서만 하는 게 아니라 제주에서도 열 수 있다는 게 의미 있어요. 우리 땅 가장 끝까지와서 한복을 선보이는 것이잖아요. 이곳저곳 다니며 인생을 즐기고자 하는 유랑 정신과도 맞물려 있죠.”
그녀는 자신이 만든 한복을 많은 이에게 선보일 때마다 입는 사람에게 자유로운 감성이 전달되기를 바라는 마음을 담는다. 그 때문에 한복과 더불어 문화도 함께 전한다고 믿는다.
